Ian Wainaina King’ara

Ian King’ara was appointed Head of Operations in December 2015 having joined the bank from UBA Kenya Ltd where he held the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Ian has over 19 years experience in the banking industry. He rose through the ranks in Chase Bank from an Officer to a Senior Operations Officer before being appointed as the Head of Operations. He also worked in UBA Kenya Ltd as Head of Operations for 5 years before his appointment as COO.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Management Science Option) from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Management of Information Systems and is currently pursuing his MBA at USIU.
